they are just a nice touch some brides like to add, they are not a necessity and if they are not there I am sure they will not be missed.
However this website has some great ideas, if you do in deed decide to go with a wedding favor.

they are a nice touch! what about something that really hightlights you and your significant other …maybe a CD of your favorite songs? A Frame and you can send a picture that fits it in your thank you notes. ….those are probably the favors I remember getting and liked the most.

I wanted to have wedding favors at my wedding too, and my mom thought it was a little nuts, so we didn’t spend very much. I love hot tea, so I bought all of this fun flavored tea, and stacked 2 individual packets of tea together and tied them together with ribbons in my wedding colors. Then I made little tags to attach to them that said “Love is Brewing” with our names and wedding date on them. I thought they were cute, and pretty cheap to do too. I’ve actually never been to another wedding that had favors though.

I am getting married this year and I feel that wedding favors are a very important and kind gesture to any reception. You can find unique wedding favors on that are a bit cheaper than $3, but something I would like to receive. I am getting a wine stopper that is in the shape of a heart, and they also throw in a personlized tag with you and the grooms names and wedding date for free.
